Ho Chi Minh city - Vietnam

Hello, this article is the second tourist attraction that I will recommend. Since I have a business, I have to go to work in "Ho Chi Minh City", Vietnam. But my work didn't take long. So there was a time to walk in Ho Chi Minh City. So this review was created.

Ho Chi Minh City or formerly Saigon City, formerly the capital of South Vietnam, before Ho Chi Minh will successfully integrate the country. Therefore changed the name of the city to Ho Chi Minh instead. This city is considered a source of prosperity and art. Top Western culture Of ASEAN, it is possible. Because he was under French rule. And before the Vietnam War, it was a city with foreigners (Most of them are Americans) Travel in a lot. Because during that time, South Vietnam ruled with democracy. And during the Vietnam War itself This city was the last place before American troops were to withdraw from Vietnam. (Who ever watched the drama "Miss Saigon", then will understand the situation and will be a little bit more. Take the Thai version instead.

Today, Ho Chi Minh is considered to be the largest and most prosperous city in Vietnam. There are many things to follow and search. It is also a connection point for traveling within the country to other cities. Therefore, there are many tourists visiting this city.

I went there only 3 days and 2 nights. It was Friday night and came back on Sunday evening. With Nok Air Airlines. It is a time trip when traveling to Don Mueang. I have to accelerate.

But I came in time to call the plane. 555+

It takes only 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive at Tân Sơn Nhất, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

Now is 20:00 hrs. The flight attendant has announced before landing. I hurriedly rushed through the Immigration Bureau and then went to call a taxi in front of the domestic passenger terminal. (Recommend to call here to not be cheated.) Because now I'm very sleepy. No sound The taxi took me to the hotel. (There are 10,000 airport pickup fees.) I forgot to tell. I got about 1,200,000 dong (about 1,600 baht) with another $ 200 US (about 6,500 baht).

Less than half an hour, the taxi took me to the Ngoc Ha Hotel Saigon, which is close to Ben Thanh Market. I hurriedly checked in to hurry up to take a bath. But the room that I booked was full. The receptionist was able to upgrade. The room was big, so it was really great. Who cares the track? I booked this hotel. Click on the image below.

>>Location<<
After coming up to the room. So hurry to take a shower, prepare to sleep. (Oh, I forgot to go to a hotel in Vietnam.) The hotel will allow us to deposit Passport at the hotel. Well, too, don't be afraid. Lost 555+)

But ... after the shower is finished. I felt refreshed. And began to feel hungry. So I have to go out and find something to eat. Around that hotel. Is a set of pho-meat This set is priced at 80,000 dong (about 110 baht).

I finished eating. I felt sleepy. Okay, like this, can sleep 555+. Go back to sleep. Good night.

Day 2 (Saturday)

Wake up on Saturday morning. I came out to eat rice near the Ben Thanh market.

This time there is a set. I ordered it. The staff first served the lemon tea. Waiting for a meal to come. This set is priced at 90,000 dong (about 125 baht). It's not expensive. Importantly, delicious food as well.

Then I hurried back up to take a bath and dress up at the hotel to work. During lunch break I went to stop at Parkson Plaza or Vincon Center (considered the big department store of this city). I was drinking Vietnamese coffee. (Vietnam is known as the second largest coffee growing country in the world)

After work. The sun is falling. I am free. 555+ While walking back to the hotel, I saw a shop selling Vietnamese sandwiches.

I ordered 1 piece. Very cheap. 15,000. Pickled myself. Delicious. I like it.

Then I walked through Ben Thanh Market in the evening. The trader brought the goods from the market to sell in the streets. There are almost everything for sale. I was interested in sports equipment. Which Vietnam is the production base for famous brands such as shoes, bags

Must check well. Otherwise, you may get a bad product.

Looks finished, must try to wear. If you're okay. It's time to renew the price. Recommend to reduce the price to the lowest price 555+

After getting the shoes I came to see the bag.

Walking a lot, I started to feel hungry. Ordered Pho set.

Then I returned to the hotel to take a shower. Sleep a little rest. Before walking out to find the nightlife.

Around 4 pm I walked to the neighborhood of "Pham Ngu Lao" which is the area where most foreign tourists stay. (As a point to go to other cities) I went to drink at a pub. I ordered 1 bottle of beer.

The singer sings the best of Hard Rock.

More important This waitress is very cute. "OK" 555+

I was listening to music. Sitting until midnight It's time to go back to sleep.

Day 3 (Sunday)

Today is Sunday. Which was my last day before returning to Thailand. Today is the day of my trip. 555+
Start from the first awakening: ... looking for something to eat. This one I walked randomly around the hotel. I can't remember the name of the restaurant. But take pictures of food.

Then I downloaded the map of Ho Chi Minh City on the phone before checking out from the hotel.

But looking at the map is difficult So I chose to use Google Map. We look easier than 555+.

On the way I walked from the hotel to the tourist area of the city. So I stopped at a coffee shop that was very familiar with both the taste and appearance. "Starbucks" itself (number 4 on the map) to sit and plan where to go first. Not to be lost. In Ho Chi Minh, there are a lot of Starbucks cafes. Should have the tightness of the number of coffee shops as well With Bangkok (This one I guess 555+)

This coffee shop is quite bigger than all the shops in this neighborhood. Have a lot of seats There are both Vietnamese people and foreigners like us. 555+

A lot of food. Good to eat. > _ <

And finally I drank coffee. This place has a good view of the shop.

After I sat fully soaked in coffee and the view of the shop. I had time to travel. See from the map, the Vietnam War Museum will be at the top. (Number 5 on the map) Walk from the Starbucks coffee shop for about 1 km. It takes about 15 minutes to walk.

Must pay 15,000 entry admission fees before entering the building. There will be a lot of armaments to be parked. Mostly belonging to the US Army During the Vietnam War.

CH-47A Chinook main transport equipment during the war.

After the end of the war, the F5-A fighter plane was abandoned by the United States.

Let's take a look inside. The building will have 3 floors. I watched it, but I saw this picture familiar to me as a child. Running away from the explosion. This image is a very famous figure. It won the Pulitzer award, which is a prestigious award for journalists.

Then he continued to watch. This was a bomb scrapped by the US Army.

Ammunition Various heavy weapons Used in war.

Each weapon All violent.

This is a weapon.

When I walked and watched it, I read it. Secretly provoking the American army during the war, quite cruel (understand that Vietnam wants to attract tourists who come to watch it). It is a collection of a lot of bombs that are made into monuments. Giving a profound meaning There are a lot of details. Not all can be taken. Let's see each other. > _ <

From War Remnants Museum, you will walk back to Independence Palace. This time, it's not far away. Walking out for a while will find a long white fence in the form. Keep walking Will pass through the entrance and the ticket sales point. (number 6 in the map)

And then came "Independence Palace" is a European-style white building. Which this position Formerly used as the presidential palace of South Vietnam before Before joining the country as one as today By sitting to travel will cost 30,000 admission fees.

Go through the door and look great. Oh, let's take it.

Come to see inside There are many rooms. Walked almost every room But take some photos Would like everyone to come and see. 555+ below picture is a meeting room.

This room is a large hall in the middle of the building. Is a large living room.

Ancient paintings

The basement of this building is like a secret room. But I brought it to watch just the car, have to go and see for yourself.

Upstairs, the casino room is there. Really have a movie theater too, not taken 555+

Really entertaining things.

The top floor is a helicopter landing. Used to see from the story of Miss Saigon.

There are details described. But I didn't take it. 555+

Top floor, front side This view is beautiful.

Can walk to the next place By walking out of Independence Palace not far away, but be careful of crossing the road too Come across and come to see a large park, good view.

About 200 meters, there will be Notre Dame Cathedral, which when we arrive we will see the back of the church. We have to walk around the front again. (number 7 in the map)

This church was built in 1877, which took 6 years to build. The shape of the building is large and beautiful. Looks like a colonial style There is a square tower at the top, 40 meters high. In front of the church there is a statue of the Virgin Mary. (It is considered a public point.) And another interesting story of this church is Not decorated with stained glass like other Christian churches . Due to damage during World War 2.

Virgin Mary

Virgin Mary

Inside the church

The next place next to the Notre Dame church is the "Saigon Central Post Office" or the South Vietnamese Central Post Office (number 8 on the map), which is a French-style building. Very beautiful.

The interior is beautifully decorated. People are choosing to buy posters. There are many things to sell. We can buy posters and send them back to ourselves in Thailand. (But I didn't send it 555+)

Then came down a bit along Dong Khoi Road. On the left hand side is "Vincon Center and Parkson Plaza" (number 9 on the map) that I visited yesterday during work. If hungry or tired, can go to find something to eat here.

Walk along Dong Khoi Road, then a bit later, will arrive at the "Saigon Opera House" (number 10 on the map), over a hundred years old. Completed in the year 2402. Nowadays, it is still in use. There have been performances throughout the day. The day I went to have a young couple came to take Pre-Wedding.

Opposite the Opera House, Louis Vuitton.

Then, follow Le Loi Road for a while and then come to "Ho Chi Minh Square". Yes In front of the monument of Ho Chi Minh, the country The back is the Ho Chi Minh City Hall.

This evening, there will be a lot of people walking out. Is the main activity area of people here.

The sky is dark. I went back to take the bag that was deposited at the hotel. Walk from this point to the hotel (number 1 on the map), about 900 meters. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the hotel. Get the bag to finish, then walk back a little further to Ben Thanh Market (number 2 on the map), turn right, walk across the road to "Bus Terminal" (during this time, under construction of the subway, please be careful) to take the bus to the field. Fly (No. 12 on the map) We will go to bus No. 152 (5,000 pickles) or 109 (20,000 dong). You can get to the same, but 109 will be a little newer than the price. 555+ Seating place is designed OK. Crutcher His country began to grow.

Not long time ... I arrived at the airport and checked in. Went to sit and wait for Gate Line. There are a lot of restaurants. Look at the plane, chill well. 555+

This time, he waited for a long time to go to the neck, began to dry and ordered a beer to eat while waiting.

When he was hungry, he ordered food to eat while waiting for the flight.

After being bored, he went to walk Duty Free to find things to get back home. 555+

I ended up with my quick Ho Chi Minh trip. Hopefully it will be useful for those who like to travel like this. Then meet again, next trip
